CCGMS thanks Julie Eckert for her generous donation of lapidary materials from the collection of Dave Eckert, Ph.D.  She donated a significant amount of cutting rough & thundereggs (7 or 8 buckets), two flats of slabs, dop pot and dop sticks to the Cobb club.

“Dave was a “rabid” rockhound since early childhood.  Most specimens are “native” of America, collected in Utah, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and found by Dave in any place without water or shade!! Dave was a chemist, water colorist, rockhound and jewelry maker.  He loved the search and discovery of each and every rock.”
