Membership in Cobb County Gem and Mineral Association is open to anyone interested in studying and collecting rocks, minerals, gemstones, and fossils and the practice of lapidary arts.

Try Before You Join

Attend your first meeting as a visitor.  Raise your hand when the President asks visitors to introduce themselves.  We like to greet visitors and make you feel welcome.

How Much Does It Cost

Annual membership is $20 a year per family (children under 18) and includes an online version of our monthly newsletter. Members who prefer to receive a paper copy of the newsletter via U.S. mail pay $30 a year. Your membership is for one year from the date you join.

What Benefits Are Included With CCGMS Membership

Members of Cobb County Gem and Mineral Society are entitled to:

  • Attend Monthly meetings
  • Receive the CCGMS monthly newsletter
  • Participate in Free 1st Tuesday Workshops featuring classes in various lapidary arts. *
  • Attendance at CCGMS and Southeast Federation sponsored fieldtrips
  • Use of the club's Workshop and equipment during Open Workshops *
  • Take additional classes offered by CCGMS


* Some free workshops and all open workshops require the successful completion of  Intro classes before you can participate. Check program announcements for required classes.
