Start celebrating the Holidays by attending the CCGMS Christmas Dinner.  This year’s dinner looks like the best yet with great food, a gift exchange, a visit from Santa Claus, installation of the CCGMS 2012 Officers and club awards.  All you need to do is bring your favorite delicious side dish and a gift of around $10 if you want to participate in the gift exchange.   The dinner will be held at the Mt. Bethel Methodist Church at 4385 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta.  Come at 5:30 if you can help set up for the party.  The party will start at 6:00 with the dinner being served at 6:30.

Thanks to all our volunteers for making the Dealer Dinner and CCGMS Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show a great success!  Read Ken Hunt’s “Message from the President” on page 6 about all the compliments he received on our show/dinner.  See pages 9 & 10 for all the great pictures Anne took of our Dealer’s Dinner, Show, Displays, Classes, Demonstrations, Workshop and People!

A Special Junior Rockhound Section!
This month we are starting a special Junior Rockhound section in the Cobb-L-Stones and on our website.  See the article on inclusions (pages 13-14), it’s interesting to rockhounds of any age!  Check out our website for fossil pictures and descriptions that you can download and make into cards that junior rockhounds will enjoy.  There will also be a great fossil crossword puzzle on the website for junior rockhounds!   Click the "Kids" button on the menu bar.

Be sure to read all the interesting club news and articles in the December Cobb-L-Stones!

Happy Holidays!
