Learn how to stabilize rocks as well as create free-form templates and cabs in this class.  If you prefer, you can learn to free-form hand-cut facets on a stone.

Advanced Cabbing Class
Instructor:  Anne Bair

Prerequisite for advance cabbing class is 10 cabs completed in the workshop and reviewed by Anne.

Class times:  By appointment, limit 2 members per session
Time frame:  Approximately 2 hours
This is an advanced class for students who have completed the Introduction to Cabbing Classes and are certified to work during Open Workshop.  

Learn:

  • several stabilization techniques
  • making templates
  • make a free-form cab or hand-cut facets on a pebble/gemstone


Class kit is $8 (payable to instructor).  Kit includes template material and stabilization liquid,
Standard workshop fees apply:  $2.50 per hour. 

Bring: 

  • A pair of manicure scissors to cut the template material.
  • Pencil and note pad
  • A slab for cutting your free-form stone or gem material or pebble for hand faceting (not ruby or emerald)
