Open Workshops

Workshops are scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday night from 7-9 pm.

Workshop Calendar

Use the calendar to confirm dates and times for CCGMS meetings, classes and workshops. Prospective members are invited to attend our monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month to learn more about the club as well as join.

Intro to Wire Wrapping

Learn to use jewelry pliers and cutters and basic wire wrapping techniques. Each class features a different project: earrings, bracelet and wrapped cabochon.

Intro to Cabbing

This class teaches how to use the shop trim saws and cabbing equipment. Required class before you attend Open Workshops to work on your own.

Intro to Faceting

Learn how to facet one stone over this 6-week course. Each student is assigned a club faceting machine and will cut their first faceted stone from a glass marble.

First Tuesday Workshops

Workshops held the first Tuesday of each month do not carry a class instruction fee. The student is responsible for buying their supplies and brings their personal tools.

Volunteer

If you are amazed at what CCGMS offers you probably have the person sitting next to you at a meeting to thank. You may be new and don't know what you can contribute or you may think you don't know enough about the club. Well the truth is, you'll learn more by becoming more involved with the club as a volunteer.

Advanced Cabbing

Learn how to stabilize rocks as well as create free-form templates and cabs in this class. If you prefer, you can learn to free-form hand-cut facets on a stone.

Introduction to the Rolling Mill

rolling mill projects Members, learn how to use the club's rolling mill in this 4-hour session. Once you complete this class you can use the rolling mill during open workshops.
