Here is our calendar of events for the month.

Rock Swap at the Cobbleshop Wednesday September 24th from 7pm till? Located in the Artisan's Resource Center Room "M"

There will be a rock swap Wednesday September 24th from 7pm till? (come at 6:15 to set up) at the workshop. Don’t bring more stuff that you can reasonably haul into the building. The workshop gets 10% of anything that is not a swap (sales) and I would ask people to call and reserve table space in advance. Jim would like at least a third of a table and he’ll bring enough stuff for filler if somebody doesn’t show up or we don’t get enough interest. The workshop does have slabs for sale...some from Bill Barber's collection. There is enough space for a few to bring card tables to set up.
I haven't participated in a rock swap before (and this is the Cobbleshop's first swap) so if there are those that have, maybe they can lend some ideas or what has worked for them in the past or what they liked best at a swap.
The Rock Swap is being held on a Wednesday because of everyone's busy weekend schedules.
If everyone could e-mail me with their lists of want and swaps, maybe we could get an idea of who has what. I have some ocean jasper that I can swap for something, am interested in some Owyhee picture jasper or other picture jaspers such as Oregon sunset, ect. I also have to go thru my stash and reduce some of my inventory. Sometimes living small has it's disadvantages. I will keep everyone abreast of the wants swaps keeping in mind that I will be gone from 9-10-08 thru 9-19-08.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SWAP. IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SWAP YOU CAN COME TO LOOK OVER EVERYONE'S MATERIAL AND BUY TO SUPPORT THE CLUB'S WORKSHOP. You then can either display your "find"or cut it in the workshop.
