Nov 15th landfill dig cancelled
For years now, L. J. Ward (cell 334-435-9077, home 334-794-9209), former City of Dothan, Al. employee, has facilitated the access to the Dothan landfill for some very productive and interesting digs we rock hounds have enjoyed.
On behalf of L.J., I regret to inform you that the dig scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled. Not only is access now denied, but it also appears that the D M C dig scheduled for February is not going to be able to take place.
Between now & then, legal action will probably be the only option that will again give access to the landfill for rockhounds.
In spite of the property being owned by the taxpayers, certain bureaucrats appear to think anything owned by any government entity is their own personal domain.
